FYUGP Orientation Program: Department of Commerce (Co-operation)

DEPT OF COMMERCE ( CO-OPERATION) FYUGP Orientation Program
The Department of Commerce conducted an orientation program for the first year BCom (Co-operation) students on July 10, 2024, in Room No. A305. This program was designed to provide new first-year students with a comprehensive overview of the FYUGP, including its objectives and the various opportunities it offers.
Ms.Fathima Shajitha TK, the Head of the Department of Commerce welcomed the students and provided a detailed introduction to the FYUGP, outlining its structure and primary goals, emphasizing the importance of equipping students with foundational knowledge and skills necessary for their academic and professional growth..
Ms. Farseena Jabeen K, Assistant professor of Commerce provided an overview of the various pathways and minor programs available to commerce students. Ms. Muhsina T, Assistant professor of Commerce, focused on the essential skills and knowledge that commerce students are expected to acquire during their course and Ms. Haseena Jasmine CK, Assistant professor of Commerce introduced the concept of the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), a system that allows students to earn and store credits which can be transferred across different institutions.
The FYUGP orientation program effectively provided new students with crucial insights into the structure and opportunities within the Four Year BCom Honours Program.
