NSS Special Camp 'Punarjani' - Session 14: Yoga and Exercise
On the fourth day of the NSS 7-day residential camp, the volunteers gathered at 6:30 AM for a rejuvenating Yoga and Exercise session led by Mr. Hamraz Ahamed M, Assistant Professor of Department of Physical Education, KAHM Unity Women’s College. The session started with delivering a brief but insightful talk on the importance and benefits of yoga and exercise in daily life by the resource person. It emphasized the significance of maintaining physical and mental well-being through regular practice.
Following the brief talk, the volunteers participated in a series of yoga practices. The session began with Surya Namaskar, a sequence of twelve powerful yoga poses. The volunteers then engaged in meditation, which helped them achieve mental clarity and inner peace. The session concluded with Shavasanam, a relaxation pose that allowed the volunteers to rest and rejuvenate.
The participation and enthusiasm of all volunteers were commendable from the feedback session by volunteers, Rinshida and Fathima Janna, and the session was a great success, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and energised.
