NSS Special Camp 'Punarjani' - Session 9: Sukruthakeralam Project - Road Renovation at Ward No. 46, Manjeri Municipality
On the third day of NSS 7-day residential camp, our volunteers undertook a significant community service project as part of the Sukrthakeralam initiative. Starting at 8:30 AM, the team focused on renovating a stretch of 1.5 kilometres of road in the 46th ward of Manjeri municipality.
This task involved not only repairing the road surface but also ensuring the sides were clean and free from waste materials. The team meticulously removed plastics and bushes along the roadside, significantly improving the area's overall appearance and accessibility.
The activity showcased the volunteers' commitment to enhancing the local infrastructure and promoting a cleaner environment. Civilians of the community expressed their appreciation for the tangible improvements, highlighting the positive impact of the NSS camp's efforts.
Through this project, the NSS volunteers demonstrated teamwork, diligence, and a strong sense of social responsibility, embodying the spirit of the Sukrthakeralam initiative. This successful endeavor added to the growing list of accomplishments achieved during our residential camp, further motivating the team for the remaining days.
