Free Eye Check-Up Camp
Free Eye Check-Up Camp organized by NSS, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri
The NSS Units 008 and 171 of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, in collaboration with Trinity Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Kozhikode, conducted a free Eye Check-Up Camp on 16th January 2025. The event, held from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the college auditorium, began with a welcome address by Dr. Faseela P, NSS Coordinator and Assistant Professor. The camp was inaugurated by Prof. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, the College Principal, who emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare. Mr. Shiju Sudhakaran, Managing Director of Trinity Eye Hospital, provided details about the camp, highlighting the hospital's commitment to public health. The event saw active participation from students, teachers, and non-teaching staff.
A total of 356 participants underwent eye examinations conducted by a professional optometry technical team. The team provided prescriptions, recommendations for further consultation, and personalized advice on maintaining good eye health. The camp concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Rasha Fathima, NSS Secretary. Participants appreciated the convenience and professionalism of the services provided, making the camp a resounding success.
