Palliative Day Celebration: Town Fund Collection Campaign

As part of the Palliative Care Day observance, NSS volunteers from KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, actively participated in a Town Fund Collection Campaign on 15th January 2025. The event was organized by the Manjeri West Palliative Care Centre to raise funds for providing essential care to patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses. The campaign aimed to promote awareness of palliative care's significance in alleviating physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering. The enthusiastic participation of the volunteers highlighted the college’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.  Five dedicated NSS volunteers from the college joined the fund collection drive at various locations across Manjeri town. The campaign was coordinated by Ms. Sadiya P.P., a 4th Semester BA History student. Their efforts helped garner substantial contributions from the public, reflecting strong community support for the noble cause. This initiative not only strengthened the bond between the college and the local community but also instilled in the students a sense of empathy and service, contributing to their holistic development. The campaign concluded successfully, with the collected funds earmarked to support the ongoing activities of the Manjeri West Palliative Care Centre.
