NSS Units 008 & 171 of KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, affiliated to Calicut University conducted several programes on account of Keralappiravi day on 1st November 2024 at Azadi Square of KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri. The programe started at 1:30 PM. The programme aimed to honor Kerala's cultural heritage while engaging students in various festivities.
The celebration featured multiple programs that captivated the audience. Highlights included a Malayali Manka contest, which showcased participants dressed in traditional attire, embodying the grace and beauty associated with Kerala's cultural identity. There was also a short drama that brought laughter and insight to the audience, reflecting relatable aspects of Kerala’s traditions and society. A song mashup added to the festive atmosphere, blending popular Malayalam songs that everyone enjoyed. Additionally, a face-painting session was organized, where students creatively expressed Kerala-themed designs on their faces, adding color and excitement to the event.
The NSS team’s efforts in planning and executing these events were commendable, as they successfully brought students together to celebrate Keralappiravi Day, reminding everyone of the richness of Kerala's heritage. The event was well-received, and the enthusiastic participation highlighted a strong sense of community and cultural pride.
