Armed Forces Flag Day - Fund Collection

Since 1949, December 7 has been observed as Armed Forces Flag Day across the country to honor the martyrs and men in uniform who bravely fought on the borders to safeguard the nation's honor. As part of this initiative, 245 token flags and a hundi box were collected from the 9 (K) Girls BN NCC, Calicut. NCC cadets distributed these flags within the college and collected Rs. 2,450. The collected amount and hundi box were then submitted to the 9 (K) Girls Battalion NCC, Calicut.
The collected funds will be utilized to provide financial assistance to needy ex-servicemen, war widows, and their dependents, as well as institutions involved in the rehabilitation of ex-servicemen, war widows, and their dependents.
