Manjeri Municipality organized a mini marathon on 29 June 2024 on the theme ‘My surroundings are beautiful’. The aim of the run was to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and waste disposal and to promote green initiatives and community involvement in maintaining a clean environment. The mini marathon was flagged off by the Honourable Malappuram District Collector, Mr. V.R. Vinod. In his address, he encouraged participants to take responsibility for their surroundings and contribute to a beautiful and sustainable community. The run started from Chullakad School and ended at IGBT Bus Stand in Kacheripadi, Manjeri. Over 500 participants from various departments, schools, colleges  and associations took part in the event. Manjeri Municipality Chairperson Mrs. VM Subaida and MLA Adv. UA. Latheef emphasized the importance of cleaning home surroundings, cities, and nature. All participants took a pledge to maintain cleanliness and proper waste disposal, led by the district collector. A total of 31 cadets participated in the mini marathon. The event successfully promoted the importance of cleanliness and waste management among cadets. ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP, and CPL Sreelaya. NC (IV Sem BA History) coordinated the cadets.
