CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

The Christmas celebration Santasio 2K24 at K.A.H.M Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, was a delightful and inclusive event held on December 20, 2024, in the college auditorium. The celebration was graced by the participation of special school students from Velluvambram, which added a unique and touching dimension to the festivities. Faculty members and students came together to create a joyful and united atmosphere.

The program began with a warm welcome by Ms. Fathima Yusra P, the General Secretary of the Zelinda Students’ Union. Ms. Fidha K, the Chairperson, presided over the function, while the Principal, Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummathur, officially inaugurated the event. Felicitations were delivered by Jnb. O. Abdul Ali, the Manager of the college, and Dr. V. Hikmathulla, the Fine Arts Director.

Dr. Annie Ninan, Head of the Department of Home Science, delivered a special Christmas message. She beautifully highlighted the spiritual essence of the festival, focusing on the teachings of Jesus Christ—love, joy, forgiveness, and peace—and their relevance in fostering harmony in today’s world.

A surprise visit by Santa Claus was the highlight of the celebration. The cheerful arrival of Santa added excitement and fun, culminating in a lively dance performance with the special school students. This memorable interaction truly embodied the spirit of inclusivity and joy.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Nuha Rasheed, the Fine Arts Secretary, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a resounding success.
