Korambayil Ahmad Haji National Dissertation Awards 

 

 

                The PG and Research Department of English at KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, instituted Korambayil Ahamed Haji Memorial National Dissertation Awards in the academic year 2012-13 to honour exceptional postgraduate dissertations in English Language and Literature, produced by MA English students studying under the regular scheme in educational institutions across India. The awards aim to foster a research-oriented mindset among postgraduate students, promoting academic excellence and encouraging them to pursue advanced research endeavors.

The Korambayil Ahamed Haji Memorial National Dissertation Awards will be conferred upon the three most outstanding dissertations, selected through a rigorous evaluation process. By acknowledging and celebrating quality research, this initiative seeks to inspire postgraduate students to strive for excellence in scholarship. Furthermore, it aims to motivate recipients to continue their research pursuits beyond graduation, contributing meaningfully to the field of English Language and Literature. This national award not only honors the memory of Korambayil Ahamed Haji but also reinforces the department's commitment to academic distinction. By promoting research aptitude and recognizing exceptional scholarly work, the Postgraduate Department of English at KAHM Unity Women's College fosters a vibrant academic ecosystem, empowering future generations of researchers and scholars.

As the awards gain prominence, they will establish KAHM Unity Women's College as a hub for scholarly excellence in English Language and Literature, attracting talented researchers and academics from across the nation.

Korambayil Ahmed Haji Memorial Dissertation Awards 2019-20.

PG Department of English invited dissertations for Korambayil Ahmed Haji Memorial Dissertation Awards for the Academic year 2019-20 from Postgraduate students of MA English Language and Literature who completed their course from colleges and universities at national level. The department received 42 entries for the awards from different institutions all over India and five dissertations were short listed for the presentation. The open defence for best Dissertation Awards was conducted on 5/10/2020 on Zoom. The honorable jury consisted of Dr. Abadul Latheef V. Head, PG Dept of English Kondotty, Govt. College Vilayil and Dr. Raheena KK, Assistant Professor of English, Govt. Arts and Science College, Mankada. The first prize was bagged by Malavika K. Nambiar of Govt. Brennen College, Thalassery, Kannur. Second prize was awarded to Archana Vinod. Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and the third place was scored by Anish T. Babu Christian College, Chengannur. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. C Saidalavi. Principal, KAHM Unity Women’s College. Reena C M, Assistant Professor coordinated the programme.

The Department has invited entries for the Disseration Awards from MA English Language and Literature students who have successfully complted their course in the academic year 2023-24.
