Smart Money Moves- A Guide to Financial Literacy
The PG Department of Commerce (CA), at KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri organised a comprehensive workshop on the topic “Smart Money Moves- A Guide to Financial Literacy” on August 16, 2024, from 2:40 pm to 3:40 pm in A107. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in stock market trading. The workshop was inaugurated by Ms. Mursila Nasri. C.K, Assistant Professor (Adhoc) and Head of the Department of Commerce. In her inaugural address, Ms. Mursila Nasri highlighted the importance of financial literacy and practical knowledge in today’s dynamic economic environment. Ms. Najma. P, Assistant Professor (Adhoc) of Commerce, welcomed the gathering. The Resource Person Mr. Ansar Babu, Managing Director & Mentor of Green Arrows Academy, Perinthalmanna, explained various matters related to stock market operations, including an introduction to the stock market, the basics of stocks and bonds, understanding stock exchanges and their functions, and the significance of key market indices. He also covered market dynamics, such as factors influencing stock prices and the role of economic indicators and global events. Additionally, Mr. Ansar Babu discussed trading strategies, including the basics of stock trading, different trading strategies such as day trading, swing trading, and long-term investing, as well as risk management and portfolio diversification. This detailed explanation provided participants with a robust understanding of the stock market and equipped them with practical insights and strategies for effective stock market trading.
