Since microgreens are easy to grow at home with minimal supplies, they can be a great source of daily nutritional requirements. 'Mesmera', the music club of our college, initiated guitar and keyboard classes for students weekly. A three day Work Readiness Programme was organized for final year B Sc Computer Science students by ASAP on 4th, 5th and 6th October 2023, with special focus on employability and twenty first century skills. Intended to channelise young women towards appropriate career options and choices, the three day session conducted by Mr Muhsin of ASAP worked upon communication skills, confidence building, technologies for progression and other capacities towards economic independence after graduation. Principal Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummathur and Mr. Rahib, Head of Computer Science department addressed the students during the commencement of the session and Ms. Reena of the department of English initiated the winding up ceremony on the last day. INAUGURATION OF HOMSCIZONE WALL MAGAZINE The wall magazine "HomScizone" of the PG department of Home Science was inaugurated by the Principal Prof(Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur on 13/10/2023. The basic purpose of the wall magazine is to showcase the significance of Home Science and to inspire students to express their ideas and talents.It also encourages the students in creative writing and brings insight on the latest research developments in the field of Home Science.

WORLD FOOD DAY CELEBRATION The PG Department of Home Science celebrated World Food Day with various events like Khana peena food stall,flash mob, eating challenge and treasure hunt on 16/10/2023.The theme of the World Food Day 2023 is "Water is life,Water is food,Leave no one behind".The programme was inaugurated by the principal Prof(Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. The Khana Peena Food Stall was organised by I st yr Post graduate students with 14 nutritious food items prepared by them. The theme of the flash mob was to emphasize the prevention of food wastage.The aim of the treasure hunt was to encourage healthy eating among the students avoiding foods and popularization of millet based recipes.

District Level Quiz Program on Anti-Drug awarenes NSS Unit 171 and 0.08 of K.A.H.M Unity Womenโ€™s College, Manjeri, participated in a quiz program on drug awareness. The program was conducted by Manjeri excise office on 13th October 2023 at Manjeri . Many students from various colleges participated in this quiz program. Our volunteers, Nourin, Dilshana, Fathima Midha, Risla, and Riya, actively participated in this event.

"Nature Camp at Attappadi" by the NSS on October 14-15, 2023 The Nature Camp at Attappadi, organized by the NSS Team of Unity Women's College, took place on the 14th and 15th of October in 2023. The event was graciously hosted by the Nilambur Nature Study Center and was led by Mr. Jayaprakash Nilambur.
