Study Trip to Agra, Delhi and Manali

The study tour to Agra, Delhi, and Manali from December 31, 2023, to January 9, 2024, was a significant educational opportunity for the 52 final year BA History students and 3 staff members from the Department of History, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri. The tour aimed to provide a practical understanding of historical sites and landmarks in these cities. During the tour, the students and staff visited several prominent sites that hold historical and cultural significance. In Agra, they explored the iconic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Agra Fort, a historic fort with beautiful architecture. In Delhi, they visited the Humayun Tomb, a magnificent mausoleum, and the towering Kuthub Minar. They also had the opportunity to explore the Indira Gandhi Museum and experience the serenity of the Lotus Temple. In addition, the group visited the Red Fort and the Parliament, gaining insights into India’s political history. Finally, in Manali, they enjoyed rafting in Kullu and witnessed the breathtaking beauty of Rohtang Pass. The tour provided a comprehensive learning experience, allowing the students to connect with the rich history and culture of these destinations.
