The KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri celebrated the Onam on August 24, 2023. The event was coordinated by Erica Students’ Union. Ms. Aslaha Konoth (UUC) extended a warm welcome to the attendees. Ms. Nafla T P, the vice-chairperson of the college union, presided over the event. The colourful ceremony was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummatur. In the program, Ms. Aswathi M P, the faculty of English department, gave the Onam message which was followed by a felicitation by Dr. A.K Shahina Mol (IQAC), Mr. V. M. Musthafa (PTA vice-president) and Mr. Sidhique P (Fine Arts Director). Teams from various departments participated in competitions such as Tiruvathirakali, Pookalam competition, musical ball and Tug of War. The Chemistry team won the tug-of-war competition in which five departments participated. The Mathematics team became the runners-up in ‘Pookalam’ competition, the Family and Community Science, Psychology departments won two, and three positions, respectively. Expressing gratitude, Ms. Fahmitha K. V (Second year representative) concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
