A National Statistics day event was organized on June 9 gth, in honour of the birthday of professor PC Mahalanobis on June 9J who is considered as the father of Indian statistics. Safana Liya and Fathima Fitha, sec- ond-year students, oversaw the event. Professor Usman, the head of the department of Botany addressed the audience and delivered a presentation on biostatistics.
