International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Departments of Political Science and Deparment of History jointly organized the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, as well as the launch of HEPSN, a cell for students with special needs in higher education. The ceremony was inaugurated by the principal, Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, who emphasised the significance of inclusivity and giving chances for people with disabilities in higher education. He also discussed the initiatives and programmes of the college aimed at fostering an inclusive and creative atmosphere on campus.The day’s guest speaker was Hamza Jaisal, a prominent motivational speaker and trainer who spoke about the significance of the observation. Mr. Shabeermon M, Head of the Department of History, presided over the programme, and felicitations were offered by the IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Shahina Mol A K, and Assistant Professors of History, Mr. Faizal Tk, Jaseena C and Dr. Shiji K P. Mr. Murshid Kunnath Naduthodi, Head of the Department of Political Science and Programme Coordinator, welcomed everyone involved, and Shahana, student of II BA History, gave the vote of thanks. Students and faculty from the departments of History attended the event organised in the college auditorium, K.A.H.M Unity Women’s College, Manjeri on 5th december 2023.
