As a part of the curriculum, , the third semester M.Sc. Home Science (Nutrition and Dietetics) students conducted diet counselling and health checkup to assess the health and nutritional status of the fishing community in Parappanangadi, at Chokidi Kadappuram from 28/09/2021 to 01/10/2022. In the health checkup anthropometric measurements, body mass index, blood pressure and Random blood sugar of the local fishing community were assessed, and based on it proper diet counselling was provided to them. Mrs. Sreeja (Anganwadi teacher) inaugurated the session and the ICDS supervisor and CDPO of the locality visited the camp. An awareness class on balanced diet and lifestyle diseases was also provided by Mrs. Hasna Abdussalam and Mrs. Shirin. E.K., III Sem M Sc Home Science (Nutrition and Dietetics).
