On the 1st of March, the English Association was inaugurated at KAHM Unity Women’s College by Saleem T Perimbalam, teacher, G.U.P.S Mankada and director of the movie ‘Malala Weeps Corona Go’. The movie that has bagged numerous awards in the span of a few months reflecting the bitterness of corona, was screened followed by an interaction with the director who was accompanied by his cameraman. Presided over by Dr. A K Shahinamol, head of the department of English, the event was made impressive by the presence of Mr. T T Abdul Razak representing the principal and faculty members of the English department. Association Secretary Ms. Haila Shabeer and her team coordinated the event, which was a learning experience of a different kind for the gathering. Mr. Saleem also gave away the certificate of appreciation to twenty four final BA girls who created digital content for the elective paper, Writing for the Media.
